When the market is tanking and small/mid caps are getting battered about, the first response is often an emotional sell off. This is a mistake as you’ll only “capture losses” by panic selling. While it may feel like your investment boat is drifting away, the situation ultimately is temporary and you need to keep all your financial sails unfurled so when the trade winds return you can move quickly back on course.
