Smart investing is basically pondering a complicated riddle that factors business trends, mass psychology and being opportunistic when value is recognized. Once you have your companies decided, a simple winning strategy is to buy, hold and accumulate over time and allow the power of compounding to do its thing.
The big emerging trends are programmatic advertising/CTV, renewable energy and Internet of Things (IoT). Given the current banking worries, and being on the tail end of two rough market years, we have a moment where a window has cracked open to invest early in these areas. My Perfect Ten list still holds, except for one modification: swapping in SunPower (SPWR) for fuboTV (FUBO), as fuboTV just seems too speculative. I don’t care what shocks to the system hit the market, these companies below are going to persevere over the long haul.
Perfect Ten (revised):
Brightcove (BCOV) $190M
Xperi (XPER) $446M
Digi Int. (DGII) $1.2B
Magnite (MGNI) $1.2B
Perion (PERI) $1.7B
Integral Ad Science (IAS) $2B
SunPower (SPWR) $2.3B
DigitalOcean (DOCN) $3.3B
Doximity (DOCS) $6.1B
Roku (ROKU) $9.1B
